Bengaluru: Retired Director General of Police (DGP) of Karnataka, Shankar Bidari has recovered the money swindled by online fraudsters.
Following a complaint to cyber police station, Bidari had called the fraudsters, and warned them of tracing out their location and help police nab them. Now, the fraudster has returned the money, and it is come to be known that The fraudster is of West Bengal origin, confessed his fraud and remitted the money back.
It can recalled here that Bidari was cheated by fraudsters who posed as a personnel of a bank helpline, and siphoned off Rs 89,000 from his account. Bidari had filed a complaint in this regard at the cyber police station.
