Bengaluru: Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has landed in an embarrassing situation after a video of his nephew assaulting bouncers under the influence of alcohol at a bar in Bengaluru, surfaced recently.
The video that has been making rounds was of an incident that took place on January 2, according to media reports.
As per the reports, Gowda’s nephew Abhishek and his friend Hitesh have been booked in connection with the incident. It is believed that the duo assaulted bouncers at the Underdoggs Sports Bar & Grill in JP Nagar after they were denied alcohol late in the night.
Bar manager Anil Gowda told JP Nagar Police that Abhishek and Hitesh consumed liquor till 11 pm at the bar on January 2. When they were refused alcohol after 11 pm when the bar was about to close and asked to leave, they began attacking the bouncers.
The incident was recorded on a CCTV camera installed at the bar.
