Bengaluru: Sankara Eye Foundation, India, has become the first recipient of the IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj Milestone Merits Recognition Award for the year 2018 in the Operations Focus category. The Indian Merchant Chamber, Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Awards are the most reputed awards in ‘quality’ across India. This year a new category, Milestone Merit awards were introduced.
This award was given to Sankara Eye Foundation, India, in recognition of offering high-quality eye care through processes that helped it maintain standards above national benchmarks and the efforts of the entire organisation to continuously improve their journey in performance par excellence. It is to be noted that this award was given from the organisations of domains as diverse as manufacturing, education, healthcare and service industries.
The award was received by Dr. Geeta Fulari, Manager-Quality, Sankara Eye Foundation, India, from the chief guest for the event, Dr. Farokh Udwadia, Emeritus Professor of Medicine Grant Medical, in the presence of Niraj R Bajaj, Chairman, IMC RBNQ Award Trust, Suresh Lulla, Co-chairman, IMC Quality, Ashish Vaid, VP IMC and Amit Mangrulkar, Director General, IMC.
Sankara Eye Foundation, India, Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Medical Trust, is a network of 10 eye hospitals across India providing world class eye care with social impact.
