Bengaluru: People who are going abroad for school or job can get their second Covishield vaccine 28 days after the first dose.
The decision was made after National Health Mission Director Arundhati Chandrashekhar wrote to the BBMP chief commissioner to request that people booked to travel overseas be vaccinated as soon as possible.Students, those travelling for employment, and athletes travelling to compete in the Olympics should have their second dosage of vaccine after 28 days, rather than 84 days, as directed by the Union Health Ministry,” she added.
People who are getting vaccinated must fill out a self-declaration form and submit it to the vaccinating officer, among other things.
