Bengaluru: The second village stay programme of all the district commissioners and revenue minister R Ashok will be held on Saturday, March 20.

The state government launched this initiative last month with the idea of taking the government administrative machinery to the doorstep of villagers.

Due to Corona, this event is cancelled in Kalaburugi while due to the election model of code of conduct this initiative was cancelled in Belagavi, Bidar and Raichur.

Revenue minister R Ashok is holding this village stay event at Chabbi village in Dharwad district.

He arrived at the Dharwad in the early hours of Saturday to participate in the village stay event. He was welcomed by DC Nithish Patil.

Interestingly Mandya district in-charge minister KC Narayana Gowda will hold a village stay event in Boppegowdanapura village in Malavalli taluk of the district in line with the revenue minister.

Many MLAs of the ruling party are also holding the event in many villages.
