Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that Congress high command will decide the constituency from where he will contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. He was addressing the media on the sidelines of foundation stone laying programme for various developmental works in Chikkaballapur.

Asked about the likelihood of BJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa contesting from North Karnataka, Siddaramaiah said: that he had also got offers to contest from North Karnataka. “However, the party high command will take a final call on this matter,” he said.

Responding to allegations of irregularities against him levelled by Yeddyurappa, the Chief Minister said he was not involved in any scandals. “Yeddyuarappa has no moral right to make such allegations as he is facing 15 cases. Let Yeddyurappa first answer to these charges, and then make allegations against others,” the chief minister added.

He has also asked Yeddyurappa to pressurize Prime Minister Narendra Modi to waive off farm loans availed from public sector banks.
