Bengaluru: Senior ministers including R Ashok, KS Eshwarappa, B Sreeramulu and CT Ravi have reportedly expressed their displeasure over the allocation of portfolios to them. They also disappointed over the promotion of Lakshman Savadi, Dr. CN Ashwatta Narayan and Govind Karajola as the DCMs.
On Tuesday morning, B Sreeramulu called on the CM, at the latter’s residence and held a discussion. He made it clear to the CM that he will not take charge of the health department if he is not accorded DCM’s post.
R Ashok and Eshwarappa also declined to take charge of their departments saying they are not ready to accept ‘not so prominent portfolios’. Both of them are planning to visit New Delhi to hold a discussion with the party senior leadership.
Former CM Jagadish Shettar, who has been given Large and Medium Scale Industries is the only senior minister who has not revolted against his portfolio.
R Ashok got revenue department, Eshwarappa was given Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, B Sreeramulu got Health and Family Welfare, Ravi got Tourism and additional charge of Kannada and Culture.
