Several Karnataka seers attend PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony

Bengaluru: Several seers from Karnataka attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his new Cabinet in New Delhi on Thursday, May 30 evening.

According to BJP leaders, Pejawar Mutt Seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, Adichunchanagiri seer Swami Nirmalananda, Madara Channaiah seer and others were present on the occasion.

Infosys Foundation chief Sudha Murthy and her husband, founder of Infosys N R Narayana Murty, were other major attractions at the event.

Interestingly, however, an MP from the state informed that even though all the MPs from the state requested a number of invitations for their supporters and VVIPs from their constituencies, their request was denied by the officials. “The list of participants was also decided by the BJP national leadership,” explained an MP.
