Bengaluru: Shalini Rajneesh, Principal Secretary, Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has ordered all the DDPIs and BEOs to release the salary of the teachers within the 10th of every month.
She warned that severe action will be taken against the authorities concerned if this order is not implemented.
All started with teachers recruited under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) alleging that the government has withheld their salaries for last three months.
The MLCs representing the teacher’s constituencies had lodged a complaint with the chairman of the state legislative council Basavaraja Horatti in this regard. Horatti who convened a meeting of the DPI authorities warned action if the salaries are not paid on time.
Based on the decision taken in the meeting now the order has been issued to all the DDPIs and the BEOs to release salary to all the teachers within 10th of every month informed sources
