Shopkeeper Assaulted in Bengaluru Allegedly Over Loud Music

In a disturbing incident in Bengaluru’s Siddanna Layout area, a shopkeeper was reportedly assaulted by a group of men for allegedly playing loud music during evening prayers.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday, was captured in a video circulating on social media. The footage shows the men arriving at the shop one by one, engaging in an argument, and subsequently assaulting the shopkeeper. The altercation escalates as the shopkeeper is grabbed by his collar and hit by multiple individuals. The violence intensifies with the shopkeeper being kicked while on the ground, leaving him with a bloodied mouth.

An FIR has been lodged against the accused individuals identified as Suleman, Shahnavaz, Rohith, Dyanish, and Taruna. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central has confirmed the arrest of three of the accused.

“We are enquiring. The group that assaulted the shopkeeper included both Hindus and Muslims,” stated the DCP Central, highlighting the diverse background of the perpetrators involved in the assault.
