Bengaluru: The 111-year-old Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Math in Tumakuru will be taken to Chennai on Friday noon for further treatment.
The Swamiji, who fell ill on Monday, was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru. He is said to have returned to the Math after treatment. “But with the intention of providing the best treatment to the seer, the mutt management has decided to take him to Chennai and get him treated at a private hospital,” said mutt sources.
“Swamiji is fine. He attended all the rituals on Thursday too. But as his blood infection is not coming under control, it has been decided to take him to Chennai,” informed a mutt officer.
