Bengaluru: Even though Former Union Minister, Congress leader CM Ibrahim has announced that he will quit the party on February 14, the Congress State leaders continue to convince him. On the night of Monday February 7, Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spoke to him for ten minutes and has urged him to reconsider his decision.
Siddaramaiah had also sent his close aide, Former Minister H. C. Mahadevappa to the residence of Ibrahim to convince him. Mahadevappa shared Siddaramaiah’s message with Ibrahim.
According to sources, Siddaramaiah assured Ibrahim that after the 2023 State Assembly election, he will be rewarded with a suitable position if the party returns to power. He also informed him that he was not against any role-position for him in the party.
According to party sources, the party High Command has directed party State leaders to ensure that Ibrahim will not quit the party.
