Bengaluru: The polling for Sira and RR Nagar by-polls will be held on Tuesday, November 3.

With just a few hours left for the crucial day, the candidates from all the major parties are undertaking door-to-door campaigning in their respective constituencies on Monday.

The permission for public rallies ended on Sunday and the door-to-door campaigning will end on Monday evening. Acccordingly, the candidates are doing their last minute efforts to reach out to as many voters as possible.

The BJP has fielded Muniratna from RR Nagar against Congress candidate Kusuma Hanumanthrayappa and JDS candidate Krishnamurthy.

The by-polls in RR Nagar has become a prestige issue for KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar because Muniratna, a former associate of DK Shi had jumped from the Congress to the BJP house, necessitating the by-polls.

In Sira, Congress candidate TB Jayachandra, BJP candidate Rakesh Gowda and JDS candidate Ammajamma are in fray.

The results of the election will be out on November 10 for both the constituencies.
