Six travelers from Bengaluru die in SUV mishap at Dharmagiri

Bengaluru: Six persons were killed after an SUV crashed into the highway median and rammed a mini lorry along Dharmapuri-Krishnagiri highway, Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening.

It is said that three couples were returning to Bengaluru after a trip to Kotagiri when the front tyre of their SUV burst, causing the gruesome mishap.

Lone survivor identified as Megha (28), wife of a victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dharmagiri. Five of her fellow travelers and driver of the mini lorry have died.

The victims are Avinash Kumar, Ramandeep Singh, his wife Navaneet Kaur, Akansha Singh and his wife (name not known) and Baji Begh (36) from Kurnool, driver for the Mini lorry.

Megha, wife of Avinash Kumar had suffered a fracture on her right leg, and was being taken for a surgery.
