Soldier from Magadi martyred in Udhampur, J&K

Ramanagar: A soldier hailing from Magadi town (in Ramanagar) died in a gun battle that took place at Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, January 14 evening.

Narasimha Murthy (29), son of Papanna from Hombalammapet in Magadi town, is the martyred soldier.

Magadi police informed the family members of the soldier about his death after the Indian Army confirmed to the police about the martyrdom.

According to army sources, the body has been kept at Jammu Medical College Hospital.

The district administration is yet to receive information on the arrival of the mortal remains of Murthy. According to family sources, Murthy had visited his hometown recently while he was on leave.
