A heartfelt moment unfolded during Sonu Nigam’s concert in Bengaluru on Sunday night, as the legendary singer was visibly overwhelmed while performing “Mere Dholna” from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Following the performance, Sonu took to social media to express his emotions. He shared, “After singing, I realized that even when a rendition isn’t technically perfect, the sheer energy in the air can create a deep emotional connection, making everyone feel the moment and tear up.”
He revealed that the song was an impromptu choice—neither planned nor rehearsed—but as the atmosphere turned deeply sentimental, he found himself in tears. Sonu admitted that simply listening to “Mere Dholna” and “Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin” (Agneepath) stirs powerful emotions within him.
Reflecting on his grief, he recalled, “I used to cry like this after my mother passed away in 2013. It’s been nearly 12 years now. For three to four years, whenever I sang ‘Kya Hua Tera Waada’ on stage, I couldn’t control my tears. Over time, it has lessened, but the pain still lingers.”
The emotional outpouring resonated with fans, proving once again the profound impact of music on the human soul.
