Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall in most regions of southern interior Karnataka over a five-day period starting from November 15. Anticipated areas for this rainfall include Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, and Tumakuru.

Vijayapura has recorded a maximum temperature of 15.6 degrees Celsius, and while dry weather is expected to prevail in northern interior Karnataka and coastal areas, most parts of southern interior Karnataka are likely to experience rainfall.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a potential for a low-pressure system to develop over the southeast Bay of Bengal by May 14, which may result in rainfall occurring in nine districts of Tamil Nadu on May 14 and 15.
