Bengaluru: To clear the extra rush of passengers, a special train will be run between Krishnarajapuram and Tiruchirapalli till June 28. The Tiruchirapalli-Krishnarajapuram Biweekly Special (No. 6049) will leave Tiruchirapalli at 6 am on Sundays and Wednesdays to arrive in Krishnarajapuram at 2.30 pm on the same day.
In the return direction, train no. 6050 will leave Krishnarajapuram at 9.30 pm on Sundays and Wednesdays and arrive in Tiruchirapalli at 6.15 am next day.
BMTC bags award
The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has bagged the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) Productivity Award in STU for the year 2015-16. Sanjay Mithra, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, presented the award to the BMTC Managing Director Ekroop Caur at the 61st Annual Conference of STUs held in New Delhi on March 16. This is the transport corporation’s 103rd award.
