Bengaluru: After a tense face-off in the Ballari by-election campaigns, BJP strongman B Sriramulu and Congress heavyweight D K Shivakumar are now all set for another round of political confrontation in Telangana.
While DKS has already started his campaign in Telangana on behalf of the Congress-TDP coalition for the upcoming Assembly elections, B Sriramulu will tour the state starting this week.
According to sources with the BJP’s state unit, Sriramulu will campaign for the party candidates for three days in Telangana. “He is one of the most charismatic leaders in the state. He will campaign across the state. The party wants to become Kingmaker in the Assembly,” said a party leader.
“B Sriramulu’s campaign has been finalised for three days and is expected to tour the state for another four days. He has been asked to spend around 8 days in the state,” he explained.
“He will share the dias with both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party national president Amith Shah,” he added.
