Bengaluru: Annual SSLC examination will start on Thursday, March 21. This year over 8.41 lakh students are appearing for the examination. As per the caste wise data highest numbers of students belong to the SC and ST communities.
According to the data released by the Karnataka State Secondary Education Examination (KSEEB) board out of 8.41 lakh students, 2.27 lakh students belong to the SC and ST communities. 1.66 lakh students belong to category 1, about 1.22 lakh students belongs to category 3, 1.15 lakh students belong to category 2. From the general category only 63,355 students are appearing for the examination.
Compared to the last year, the number of students appearing for the SSLC examination is up by 3,578. As many as 4,651 physically handicapped students are appearing for the examination.
Elaborate arrangement: According to the KSEEB authorities, elaborate arrangements have been made for conducting the examination. This includes a ban on mobile use by the teachers and the examination staff to ensure that there will not be space for any kind of malpractices including taking the pictures of the question papers.
