Bengaluru: The state cabinet has approved the proposal of a golden chariot for the Kukke Subramanya Swamy temple. This chariot will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 80 crores.
According to sources, the chariot will be built using 240 kilograms of gold.
Authorities said that originally, a proposal in this regard was approved way back in 2005, when Dharam Singh was the Chief Minister. But due to the various reasons, it was not taken up.
“The state government has approved the new proposal based on the appeals made by the devotees,” informed authorities.
