Bengaluru: Often, parents prefer CBSE/ICSE boards for their children instead of state boards claiming that the latter’s policies change as and when required at the last minute. The latest example for this is the state government’s decision to introduce public examinations for the students of class VII.
While in all the other schools, the mid-term vacations have started and nearly half of the syllabus has been covered, the state government has now decided to make the class VII final examination into a public examination instead of a school level examination.
Education minister S Suresh Kumar has made an announcement in this regard.
He stated that, even though it is a public examination, no student will be retained even if he or she scores very low marks.
The question papers will be prepared at the KSEEB while the valuation will be done at the district level.
