Bengaluru: The state Cabinet expansion that was earlier scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed to June 14.

This decision was taken as the state government had announced a three-day mourning period for the death of renowned theatre personality, actor, and activist Girish Karnad.

The three ministers who were supposed to be sworn in as ministers on Wednesday will now have their swearing-in ceremony on Friday.

Two independent MLAs and a JDS legislator are expected to join Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s Cabinet.
