State Cabinet expansion tomorrow, says Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: Now, it is confirmed. The much-delayed Cabinet expansion is scheduled to take place at 5 pm on Friday.

“State Cabinet expansion is scheduled at 5 pm on September 1,’’ Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said in a release on Thursday.

According to reliable sources, Legislative Council Members H M Revanna (Kuruba), R B Thimmapur (Dalit Left) and Tiptur MLA K Shadakshari (Lingayat) have emerged as strong contenders to get ministerial berths.

The three vacancies follow the death of minister HS Mahadev Prasad, resignation of minister HY Meti after a video involving him was circulated, and G Parameshwara quitting after his term as KPCC president was continued
