Bengaluru: The state cabinet, which met on Thursday decided against allowing the liquor sale even in the green districts.
Instead it decided to wait till May 3 when the second cycle of the lockdown announced by the central government will come to an end.
According to the sources, the ministers were divided over the decision of continuing ban on the liquor sale with a few arguing that ban continuation will harm the state exchequer.
However, finally it was decided to wait till the union government takes a decision on the same.
Meeting also decided to wait till May 3 on allowing the beauty parlours and the salons to open.
The ban on the hotels, malls and cinema theaters will continue.
In the meeting it was further decided to allow inter district travel through KSRTC bus. A final guidelines in this regard is expected to be out by evening.
