Bengaluru: The services of Karnataka State Chief Secretary K Rathnaprabha due for retirement on March 31, have been extended by three months to 30 June 30 2018.
The state government had recommended to the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) of the Union government to extend the service of Rathnaprabha by three months considering the forthcoming assembly elections in the state,
The Department of Personnel and Training finally nodded to the recommendation with approval from the Election Commission, it is gathered.
The state government not receiving any direction from DOPT till date had evinced some curiosity in both political and bureaucratic circles in the state.
