Bengaluru: The state government has re-promulgated the controversial land reforms ordinance.

As this amendment to the state land reforms act 1962 was not approved at the state legislative council, the state government was forced to re-promulgate the ordinance.

As per the ordinance, the land granted to the SC and ST families by the state government have been excluded from the amendment act. That means, general public can’t buy the land owned by them.

There are no other changes in the ordinance. Any family from the state can now buy farm land in the state.
