Bengaluru: The state government will hold public consultation on re-opening of the schools from June 10 and 12 and finalise its road map for the new academic years 2020-21.
If sources are to be believed, the classes are expected to resume by July 1 for all classes above class IX.
An officer from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) informed that the department is holding series of consultation with child specialists, public health experts, policy-makers and the parents.
“The classes fro pre-nursery and other lower primary schools, the classes are likely to resume only after October, while higher classes are expected to start early,” said a source.
Meanwhile, the DPI has decided to old health screening at the school-levels for the SSLC and II PUC students, who will appear for examinations in next few days
“Only healthy students will be allowed to write the examination,” added authorities.
