State govt, wakf board issue guidelines for Ramzan celebrations

Bengaluru: The state government and the wakf board issued detailed guidelines on holy Ramzan celebration this year.

The celebration will start either on April 24 or 25. This orders will remain effective till May 3.

As per the order, till May 3, mass prayers in the dargahs and mosques have been banned to ensure that the public do not gather in large number.

In mosques and dargahs Imams and other staff can offer prayers till further orders.

Public needs to offer prayers in their respective houses.

State wakf board has asked the authorities to prepare a CD on dos and don’ts in three languages and create awareness.

As per the direction, the public shall not be invited for the Friday prayers and night prayer during the Ramzan period to mosques or dargahs.

Morning and evening mass feeding shall not be conducted.

Drinks shall not be prepared to serve in any places or no one shall be allowed to open shops near mosques to sell food items.
