Bengaluru: The state government, including a few senior leaders of the ruling Congress-JD(S) coalition, are very worried now that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has got custody of IMA Ponzi scam main accused Mansoor Khan.
Sources in the state government confirmed to Newskarnataka.com that, with the ED getting the three days custody of Khan, the Central government is expected to get a lot of sensational details about the state government, a few senior leaders, officials, including a few seniors, and journalists.
“As of now, we know that Khan has shared a list of people who were on his payroll. The list includes reporters also. The Central government may use it to target the coalition government in the state,” explained sources.
If sources are to be believed, details of a Rs 200-crore bribery paid by Khan, has been collected by the ED authorities. “This is yet another headache for the state government,” revealed sources.
