State reports one more death; Two more COVID-19 cases brings tally to 279

Belagavi: Karnataka reported two more COVID-19 positive cases by April 15 evening, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 19. Additionally, another death was reported from the state in the evening, bring the death toll to 12.

After a 65-year-old man died late early on Wednesday morning, Patient 279, an 80-year-old woman from Hirebagewadi in Belagavi who is a contact of Patient 224, died at a hospital later in the day.

The other fresh case reported today is a 28-year-old woman (Patient 278) from Vijayapura. She is a contact of Patient 221.

Earlier in the day, 17 new cases were reported from the state.
