Bengaluru: Stones were pelted on a pro-CAA rally near the Town Hall in Bengaluru city on Sunday, December 22. The rally was led by Chakravarthy Sulibele, a popular right-wing orator and was organized by various right-wing organizations.
As of yet, there is no clarity about who hurled stones at the rally that started from Basavanagudi of the city. More details about the incident are awaited.
The development comes amidst a series of protests in the city against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), 2019 and the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Additional police forces have been rushed to the scene where the stone-pelting incident took place.
