Bengaluru: Animal Husbandry minister Prabhu Chavan has warned former CM Siddaramaiah to not instigate cow slaughter in the state.
Speaking to reporters in Koppal, Chavan said that the former CM has been instigating/encouraging cow slaughter in the state through his statements and if he doesn’t stop it, he will have to go behind bars.
He said that even Minister for Industries Jagadish Shettar has suggested arresting of those who instigate the cow slaughter.
“Siddaramaiah has been making statements that he will eat beef and nobody can stop him, which is encouraging people in a way. If he didn’t stop his statements on the cow slaughter we may consider arresting him,” he said.
He also stated that anti-cow slaughter ordinance was the need of the hour.
