Bengaluru: The trustees of the Maramma temple, Sulwadi in Kollegal taluk of the Chamarajanagar district passed an unanimous resolution in the trustee meeting held on Tuesday on handing over the temple management to the state government.
A decision in this regard was communicated to the state government through the district administration. The signed resolution copy was submitted to Chamarajanagar DC BB Kaveri.
The trustees also informed the district administration that the money in the trust account can be used for the rehabilitation of the devotees affected by the prasadam poisoning incident.
It can be recalled that 17 devotees died and over 110 devotees took ill after consuming poison-laced prasadam served at the temple on December 14.
