Bengaluru: The sudden surge in the number of COVID 19 cases in the state capital Bengaluru has now forced the state government to review its strategy. With the idea of finding a solution to the increasing number of COVID 19 cases, health minister B Sreeramulu and revenue minister R Ashok will hold a meeting of senior officials today. BBMP and state health department officials besides senior public health experts will participate in the meeting.

The meeting is likely to review the preparedness of the city for COVID 19 cases beside the strategy to be followed. It can be recalled that the Telangana government is considering shutting down the entire Hyderabad city for 15 days to check the spread.

“Such a proposal is in front of the Karnataka government also. But Karnataka is likely to follow limited lockdown,” explained sources in the state revenue department.
