Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is expanding its footprint in Bengaluru with plans to develop a 25,000-seater office, targeting long-term growth. The company recently acquired land in Whitefield, a prime IT hub in the city, as part of its vision to build a larger capacity for its employees. The announcement comes shortly after TCS finalized a land deal worth Rs 1,625 crore.

Currently, TCS employs about 70,000 people across various Bengaluru offices. The company is adopting a combination of leasing and building its office units, with the Bengaluru expansion following the build approach, according to Chief Financial Officer Samir Seksaria.

The IT giant has also been expanding its presence in other regions, having recently opened a new facility in Coimbatore. Seksaria also discussed the company’s strategy regarding its BSNL deal, acknowledging that the revenue from this contract would taper off by FY26. However, TCS expects to offset this decline through other revenue streams from its global markets.

For the December quarter, TCS reported an operating profit margin of 24.5%, and it is focused on further expanding this figure in the coming months.
