Tech giant Infosys gets threat mail for ‘spreading terror’!

Bengaluru: Infosys Ltd., the Indian outsourcing giant, has registered a complaint with the cyber police following a threat email here on September 26.

The accused is identified as Alpesh Patel.

According to reports, the accused stated in his email dated 28 July 2017 that Infosys had been spreading terror in the society. The accused also said that he would be writing to US President Donald Trump and former president Pranab Mukherjee in this regard. Infosys employees Manikanth, Ranganath Dwaraknath Mavinakere and Sandeep Mahindro received a threat mail from the ID patelbalpesh@yahoo.com.

The cyber police have taken up the case and the accused will be traced with the help of the IP address.

According to reports, the accused is a former employee of Infosys and police suspect that he might have sent threat mail to risk the reputation of the company.
