Bengaluru: Temperatures in Bengaluru and in all the other parts of Karnataka is likely to rise in the next few days due to a change in the wind patterns. The minimum temperature for the coming days in Bengaluru will be 15 Degree Celsius but the skies will remain clear.
Speaking to a news portal, Sunil M Gavaskar, Meteorologist at the Karnataka State Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), said, “For the last two days, we have observed minimum temperatures of single-digit across many places. India Meteorological Department (IMD), which had sounded a cold wave in the last two days in both the north-interior and south-interior parts of the state, has said that the cold wave is no longer active. Compared to the last two days, minimum temperatures will increase by 1-2 Celsius.”
According to KSNDMC, the coldest temperature in Bengaluru was at 8.8 Celsius in Hesaraghatta weather station in the north-western fringe of the city.
Though the skies will remain clear with no rainfall, there will be fog in the early morning, which might affect flight operations. On Wednesday, January 2, a total of 16 flights were affected between 4 AM and 8 AM.
The rest of Karnataka will see cold weather in the coming week.
