Bengaluru: BJP state unit general secretary, former minister Shobha Karandlaje has stated that there is a possibility of change in the party’s state unit president after the Lok Sabha election results are announced.

Shobha, who is considered to be the eyes and ears of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, told reporters in the city, she stated that change is a natural process in any party and that the BJP is no exception. “So there may be a change in the party state president too,” she said.

“BSY was appointed for a term of three years, which has now concluded. He is now the opposition leader in the state legislature. The party’s national leaders will decide the future,” she said.

About the possibility of her becoming the next party state president, Shobha said, “I am confident of getting re-elected from the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency so, I am not an aspirant for the president’s post.”

If sources in the state BJP unit are to be believed, C T Ravi, Aravind Limbavali and R Ashok are front runners for the post of BJP state unit president.
