In a swift breakthrough, Bengaluru Police apprehended a suspect involved in a lodge burglary where valuables worth ₹3.15 lakh were stolen. The incident unfolded in the early hours of March 16, when the accused sneaked into a room occupied by a wedding guest and fled with expensive belongings.

Among the stolen goods were a 35-gram gold necklace adorned with black pearls and two mobile phones. The victim promptly lodged a complaint at Bagalur Police Station, prompting an immediate probe.

Acting on leads from informants, law enforcement officials tracked down the suspect near Hegganahalli Circle on March 22. During questioning, he admitted to the theft and disclosed where he had hidden the stolen articles.

Officers raided his residence in Hegganahalli, successfully recovering the missing valuables, along with two stolen motorcycles. Authorities confirmed that the suspect had been linked to two additional vehicle theft cases in the vicinity.

Following his confession, the accused was presented before the court on March 24 and was remanded to judicial custody. His arrest marks a significant success in curbing theft-related crimes in the area.

The operation was spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) Sajith VJ, IPS, with Assistant Commissioner of Police Muragendraiah overseeing the case. Inspector VS Shabarish and the Bagalur Police team played a crucial role in resolving the case efficiently.
