
Thieves Use Special Tool to Break Into Cars and Steal Valuables
BENGALURU: On August 22, thieves executed a bold daylight robbery in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar, using a specialized tool to smash car windows and steal valuables. The incident occurred around 7:30 pm near the Global Desi store and Westside on Indiranagar Main 100 ft road.
According to victim Surya, who shared the news on social media, the thieves targeted four vehicles, grabbing three bags containing laptops and other valuables. While one thief distracted the security guard, the other broke the car windows with a device and quickly made off with the loot.
Surya’s social media post, which included CCTV footage, has gained significant traction, with over seven lakh views. The footage shows the thieves operating with alarming efficiency, and Surya’s post calls for urgent police action and heightened vigilance from residents.
“Similar thefts have happened in this lane before,” Surya noted. “Bengaluru streets are feeling less safe by the day. Police need to act swiftly to prevent further incidents.”
Many residents echoed concerns about the city’s growing safety issues and advised against leaving valuables in cars.
