Bengaluru: The Kothanur police have arrested two people in connection with the case of threatening Tata Ramesh. The police have identified the arrested persons as Vijayakumar alias Lakkasandra Viji, a rowdy-sheeter in Adugodi police limits, and Kumar alias Cable Kumar. The police have seized deadly weapons and a car from the arrested persons who are said to be close aides of Rohit alias Onte, the prime accused in the case of threatening Tata Ramesh.
Speaking to media persons, Dr Harsha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru North East Division, said the special police team (Ayyanna Reddy, Police Inspector, Peenya Police Station, Prashanth Babu, Police Inspector, HAL Police Station and Satish, Police Inspector, Kodigehalli Police Station) based on the information from Rohit during the interrogation, had intercepted the vehicle in which the duo were commuting but the latter tried to escape. “However, the police team chased the vehicle and nabbed the duo near GKVK campus. We are interrogating the arrested persons. The investigation team is investigating the case scientifically and transparently,’’ Dr Harsha said.
It may be recalled the police have arrested Syed Aman alias Bachchan, six of his bodyguards, and Sunil and Rohith on Wednesday in connection with the case of threatening Tata Ramesh. The police have produced the arrested persons in the court which remanded them to police custody for 14 days.
