Three arrested by CCB for betting in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested three persons on the charges of betting in Devanahalli police limits.

The CCB police have identified the arrested persons as Ravindra, 38, a resident of Kumud Nilaya, near Mahantara Mutt, Devanahalli, Nagesh, 42, a resident of No. 31, 2nd Cross, Shanthinagar, Devanahalli, and Udaya Shetty, 32, Opposite Church, Prashanth Nagar, Devanahalli.

The police have seized Rs 1,25,000 cash and four mobile phones from the arrested persons. According to the police sources, after being tipped off, the CCB police team raided Hi-tech Concrete Technologies factory situated opposite Government Hospital on Vijayapura Road and took the three persons into custody on the charges of betting.

The police said the arrested persons were indulged in betting on 20:20 Cricket match played by Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mubai Indians teams in Mumbai.

A case has been registered at Devanahalli police station.
