Bengaluru: In relation to a Rs 4 crore bill scam, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has suspended three of its officials on Thursday, February 13.
According to the press note released by the BBMP, BBMP’s accounting superintendents Ramamurthy and Anitha, and Class II helper Raghavendra were allegedly involved in inappropriate usage of funds worth Rs 4, 42, 82, 551.
A probe has been initiated and the three have been kept under suspension.
Based on the media reports suggesting that a Rs 4 crore scam had struck the BBMP, the higher officials had taken the matter seriously and checked on it. While inspecting, the scam had come to light. The suspension order against the trio was immediately passed.
Meanwhile, the police have also registered an FIR.
