Ramanagara: Three of the same family die by suicide by jumping into lake in Dammanakatte Village in Magadi taluk in the night of Tuesday December 21.
The deceased has been identified as Siddamma (55), her daughter Sumithra(30), and son-in-law Hanumantha Raju (35). It is said that Hanumantha Raju was staying with his family in Siddamma’s house and cultivating a piece of land.
On Tuesday night Hanumantha Raju picked up a quarrel with Siddamma after consuming alcohol. Then all the three including children went to village lake and jumped.
Chandana (8), daughter of Sumithra alerted villagers. Villagers rushed to spot and rescued elder daughter Keerthana while other three
drowned in water.
Kudur police have registered a case and are investigating.
