Bengaluru: Toddlers are generally inquisitive and in their curiosity to explore their surroundings they may often end up harming themselves. However, ugly incidents do take place at times despite parents exercising necessary precautions.
Parents of an 11-month-old girl in Bengaluru, on Wednesday, had to go through a harrowing time after they noticed that their daughter was having difficulty breathing and rushed her to the Columbia Asia Hospital. Examinations revealed that a fish, measuring 5-6 cm was stuck in her throat causing the girl to choke. The toddler had reportedly swallowed a ‘live’ fish, that she had managed to fish out of the aquarium kept at their home.
Doctors immediately performed an endoscopic operation and managed to save the girl’s life.
