Bengaluru: The toll fee on NH 44, on the way to the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), has been increased from Monday, April 1. As per reports, the fee has been increased by Rs 5 for one-way trip and two-way trips, making the rates Rs 90 and Rs 135 respectively with effect from today.
On the other hand, for buses to KIA, the rates have been increased by Rs 10 and Rs 15 for one-way and two-way journeys, respectively.
The monthly pass for cars has been increased from Rs 2,895 to Rs 3,020, whereas for local vehicles, the monthly pass fee is Rs 265. Monthly pass for buses has been fixed at Rs 9,330.
While it is being speculated that the BMTC might also up its fares as a result, the corporation has not made an official announcement in this regard.
Meanwhile, the toll fee for multi-axle cars has been increased to Rs 830 for a two-way journey.
Sources at the NHAI have explained the hike as a “routine revision”, adding that the revised toll fees will be in effect till March 31, 2020.
