Bengaluru: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has revised the toll for vehicles using NH44 to reach Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). The fee for a return journey for cars has been increased by Rs. 5, which means they will now have to pay Rs. 130.
There is no change in the toll for a single journey (Rs. 85) for cars heading to the airport. The monthly pass for cars (50 journeys) has been increased from Rs. 2,780 to Rs. 2,895.
The authorities have also revised the fee for other types of vehicles. The revised fee structure will come into effect from April 1 and is valid till March 31, 2019.
Project Manager of Navayuga Devanahalli Tollway Pvt. Ltd. (NDTL) A. Srinivas Kiran Kumar said, “The toll revision is a yearly exercise and at various toll gates across the country.”
The company decided to collect a fee for a single journey after the State government opened a toll-free alternative road to the airport.
