Bengaluru: Amid the fast developing Karnataka political crisis with the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition MLAs on a resignation spree, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G Parameshwar, State Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar, Home Minister M B Patil, Minister for Food & Civil Supplies Zameer Ahmed Khan, Minister for Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Krishna Byre Gowda and several other top coalition leaders too have resigned from their respective posts here on Monday, July 8.
Speaking to media DKShi said, “We all have resigned only for the betterment of the party and we are ready for any sacrifice. We will stand by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and the Congress party and will strive hard to strengthen the coalition.”
Meanwhile, CM HDK has requested Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala to give some time to the state coalition, in order to settle the confusions.
The decision of all the top leaders has come after a meeting at DyCM Parameshwar’s residence at Sadashivanagar for a couple of hours, where Karnataka Congress State In-charge K C Venugopal, CM HDK, CLP leader Siddaramaiah, KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao and several other coalition leaders were present.
Siddaramaiah, on the other hand, has said that a cabinet reshuffling would take place in few days from now.
