Hunsur: Nine people were grievously injured when a tractor toppled after the driver lost control near Shirenahalli village of Hunsur Taluk on Ramanathapura- Terakanambi State Highway number 88.
Residents of Maregowdanahalli in K R Nagar taluk, Anand, Lokesh, Suri, Manju, Suresh, Punith, Ravalesh, Kumar and tractor driver Thyagaraj suffered serious injuries. Few fractured their limbs while the rest suffered head and chest injuries.
The driver of hay-laden tractor, KA 45 H 5943 lost control when he was going downhill on the state highway near Shirenahalli and all the nine got struck under the trolley.
Another tractor with trolley was summoned at the accident spot to rescue the injured with public support.
All the injured were later admitted to the government hospital in Hunsur.
